I’m the Arch Manning guy, but this is a TOUGH pill to swallow. Two late interceptions doomed Texas in the Red River Rivalry. There was NO WAY the Longhorns should’ve lost this game. Oklahoma got the only game script that could save them!
This one HURTS. I’ve been the Arch Manning guy all season, and watching him throw two late interceptions in the Red River Rivalry is a tough pill to swallow. In my opinion, there was NO WAY Texas should’ve lost this game. Oklahoma got the exact game script they needed, and Arch’s late mistakes ultimately proved costly.
But let me make one thing clear: I am NOT wavering on Arch Manning or Texas. I still believe in Arch’s talent, and I still believe in the Longhorns. One brutal loss doesn’t change my overall opinion of either. I can admit Arch had a bad finish while still believing in what he can become and what this Texas team can accomplish.
Sometimes being a fan means admitting when your guy comes up short without abandoning your belief in him. This one stings, but I’m not jumping ship.
